Suffering from a life-threatening illness can be a difficult time for both you and those who love you. We aim to support you during this difficult time, making life a little easier for you and your loved ones. We will discuss with you and set up a plan that supports you at each stage of your illness, from diagnosis to ongoing support through bereavement and loss.
Family and friends will have strong feelings about your condition, often making it difficult for you to express how you are feelings for fear of upsetting them. We are able to support you by listening objectively and offering advice and guidance if needed.
We work in partnership with other organisations and voluntary bodies and will assist with researching and finding appropriate support and self help groups if you so choose.
Our staff receive specialist training and understand the importance of being treated as an individual during this difficult time.
Our personalised support plan will take into account and record your needs and preferences.
We understand the importance of continuity of your care and therefore you can expect to see only a small amount of pre-selected carers rather than a different face at each call.
